Hi, hello! My name is Anna, I ride for Orion Racing and joined the team in 2020 (the year many things were canceled, including our plans for cycling world domination, stay tuned though, we’ll be back). I wanted to provide a little summary of what's happened so far in the year and what's to come!
The 2023 season is underway and we’re stoked! This year, 12 riders are returning and we brought on 3 new teammates. In addition, we like to welcome guest riders when possible for different races to continue the development of women’s cycling in the United States.

Our racers balance work, families and travel for competition, so it's often difficult to finalize our calendar months in advance. Follow us on Instagram @orionwomenscycling and stay tuned in with future newsletters as we roll out more race announcements and follow along on our adventures!
Thus far, our riders have already been active at some of the first major races of the season.
Valley of the Sun
An three-day mini stage race with three Orion riders taking to the start in mid-February that was a first time pro race for Cheyenne, a strong opener for Sara, and for myself, Anna, overcoming mental barriers post last year's crash. Check back for a full race report coming soon!
Tucson Bicycle Classic
I headed out alone for another three day event in Arizona two weeks after VoS to continue building on my confidence being back in the pro women's peloton. Check back for that full race report coming soon as well!
Nonprofit Work
While Orion Racing is a non-profit composed of elite women cyclists striving to provide training, development, and racing opportunities for women, we’re not just about racing. Orion also puts on a charity event called Pedal4Parity that began in 2017 and has raised and donated 100% of profit to nonprofits represented at the time. Last year, the event raised $4,642 through silent auction and donated to five nonprofits. This year the event is scheduled for late July, early August and we will have more information to share in the upcoming weeks about how people can take part or donate to the cause!
Orion Racing relies on donations and our wonderful sponsors to continue to pursue our mission, you can check us out on our website, our social media links below, and of course come say hi if you see us in person at any events! We look forward to having regular updates so stop by to read all about our adventures, volunteering, and nonprofit work!
